The emergence of generative AI in late 2022 has sparked a series of standards and guidance for its safe application, particularly in government. This module sets out the key aspects of that guidance, to support senior staff in considering implementation.

Information Security Awareness
Information security has been highlighted as a risk to local Government by a number of oversight agencies. Losses can be deliberate, but in many cases are accidental. This module will provide staff with an understanding of key concepts, such as the ISO27001 standard, privacy legislation and the ‘CIA triad’. The final portion of the module will equip staff with an understanding of how to manage information securely, such as password management and connecting from personal devices.
